Keri was our house sitter and our pet sitter during the week of
August 15-24, 2003 while we were on vacation on the East Coast.
Keri took care of our 13-year-old cat, Saphi, our 2-year-old Chow-Pitt
Bull Mix, Bear, and our 4-week-old kitten, Milo.
Keri fed all the pets each morning and night, cleaned the litter
boxes, and walked Bear 2 times per day. While it was only necessary
for Keri to walk Bear around the neighborhood for 30 minutes each
morning and evening, Keri took Bear to the local lake each afternoon
for a one-hour walk. Keri used our car to transport Bear to the
lake, because Bear needs to ride in a travel crate due to a propensity
for motion sickness.
Keri carefully followed all of our care and feeding instructions
for the animals. Keri also took care of our house by bringing in
the mail and cleaning up any messes that the pets made.
When we returned from our vacation, our pets were happy, healthy
and well cared for. We think they were equally as happy to see us
back home as they were sad to see Keri have to leave them! Our house
was immaculate, too. Keri had vacuumed, done all the dishes, and
washed the sheets and remade the bed in the master bedroom (where
she slept) in preparation for our return.
Having Keri as our house/pet sitter was a joyful and stress-free
experience. We were nervous at the beginning of our trip because
we had never had someone who we did not know stay at our house with
our animals. Keri was kind and thoughtful enough to call us and
give us a few pet updates at the beginning of our vacation to help
allay our fears.
We highly recommend Keri as a house/pet sitter. She is thoughtful,
caring, loving, and more than competent. Our pets and home were
very well cared for and Keri helped us to feel very comfortable
leaving our pets with her. We will enthusiastically rehire Keri
to house sit and pet sit the next time we are out of town, and not
just because of the gorgeous bouquet of flowers that she had for
us when we returned!
