Alex
 |
Alex grew up in the Bay Area and found himself in San Francisco in 2005. His love for animals began at a very early age. His father was born and raised on a farm so it followed that Alex grew up with the opportunity to work with almost every farm animal one can think of. Over the years, Alex has owned, cared for, and trained four dogs, including his current pup, American Rottweiler, Isa.
|
Alex rescued Isa when she was one year old and he has been a proud, happy papa to her now for over eight years. Alex has also owned cats, snakes, chickens, hamsters, rabbits, parakeets and finches, as well as numerous fish.
Alex’s career path led him through mobile communications, real estate, and importing before he realized his true passion in working with animals. In 2009, Alex started a dog walking business in San Francisco. He joined On The Go Pet Care to offer his business skills and pet care expertise to help manage OTPC’s growth. Alex promotes a culture of safe, fun and loving dog care with an emphasis on manners and socialization. He offers a gentle demeanor to all pets in his care. Alex is Pet CPR and First Aid certified through the American Red Cross.

Keri
 |
Keri grew up in the Bay Area.
Her love of animals began at age 8 with a miniature Poodle she
named Gypsy. To date, she has been the proud parent
and guardian of five dogs, four cats, three hamsters and a parakeet
named Salinger. Currently, she is ecstatic to be the
mommy of Shilo, Lab-Border Collie mix she often takes out on
group walks and boarding adventures with On The Go Pet Care. |
Keri held a career in TV
production in San Francisco for five years before heading
off to pursue a lifelong dream traveling abroad. She spent
six months around Europe followed by a year living and working
in New Zealand.
She found herself missing having a pet and decided to volunteer
her time at Cats
Protection League in Wellington, New Zealand for five
months. |
Keri started On The Go Pet Care in September of
2003. It is everything she has dreamed of doing and more.
She can't imagine a more rewarding job. Sometimes it's really
hard work but the love she gets back from each and every pet,
she says, is priceless.
Keri seems to have a natural talent for understanding animals
and countless people have commented on how happy their pets
seem upon their return.
She says, “children have day cares and play centers
and to many people, pets are their children so I want to offer
the same kind of care they’d expect for a child.” |

Jennifer
|
Jennifer grew up in Shasta County, which made it condusive for her to develop a strong passion for animals given all the acreage. At age five, Jennifer's parents allowed her to care for her very own kitten, Kate. During the same year, her family was moved by a news story focusing on rescued formally abused German Shepherd named Heidi available for adoption. After some strong persuasion on Jennifer's end, the family rushed to give Heidi a chance. Jenn’s family had two acres of land, which made it ideal for her and her sisters to play with Heidi because there was always plenty of room to run around and explore.
|
| As time passed, so did Heidi and Kate, and the family adopted new animals - including three fire belly salamanders. In high school, Jennifer spent much of her time volunteering with Westside Pet Hospital and Boarding Facility, the VCA Animal Hospital, and the Haven Humane Society in Redding. The facilities allowed her to socialize cats and dogs, clean kennels, walk dogs, and even assist in surgery. Working in these facilities made her very happy and although she dreamed of becoming a veterinarian one day, her plans changed and she earned her B.S. in Dietetics at San Francisco State University. |
Presently, Jennifer owns two wonderful Australian Shepherds named Sierra and Cooper. When Jennifer moved to San Francisco she realized how challenging it would be to have pets in the City. She found herself challenged by house rental pet deposits, noise, non-existent back yards, and busy streets. Over time, she learned about all of the amazing dog parks in the City and how pet-friendly the City really is. Jennifer’s strong bond with her dogs helped her ease them through the country - city transition. You can often find the three of them at Fort Funston, one of Jennifer's favorite places in the City or out with On The Go Pet Care group walks. |

Magali
 |
Magali grew up in a family where the respect and love of animals and nature were highly valued. Surrounded by animals from an early age, she developed a strong love for them and a passion for dogs and cats in particular.
|
Magali had the experience of spending some of her younger years in Africa with her family. When she was six, they returned to their native France, in a rural area which allowed Magali to care of her own cat, Poupoune, a love story that spanned over 14 years. Her family also rescued a dog who had been placed by his previous owner in a shelter because he was too old to participate in dog shows anymore. Mali, as he was called, was a beautiful Saluki and Magali helped him to recover the pride of his breed, by racing by walking and running with him every day after school.
Since that time Magali has always looked for ways to balance her life around the needs of her beloved four legged friends and to give them all the care and love they deserve. Magali is also a photographer, and finds a lot of pleasure in capturing shots of smiley dogs and playful cats.

Jessica
|
Jessica, a native of Maine, has been living in San Francisco for just over 2 years. She grew up with and learned to take care of many different animals, from dogs, cats, birds, turtles, rabbits, and fish, and she quickly grew fond of animals and caring for them. She grew particularly close to the last four dogs she cared for in Maine - Snoopy, Cricket, Dylan and Molly.
|
For the past 8 years, Jessica has also been a licensed and practicing massage therapist and her calm demeanor translates through her work with dogs. She is currently working toward a degree in Biology with plans to have a career in Animal/Wildlife Conservation.
Jessica has a particular interest in animal behavior, which has allowed her to understand the individual behaviors of On The Go Pet Care's cats, dogs and rabbits under her care. |
